Installation Guide

SmartOptions installs in under 2 minutes. Here's how.

Install the App

Click "Start Free Trial" above or find SmartOptions in the Shopify App Store. Approve the permissions and the app will appear in your Shopify admin.

Add the Theme Block

Inside the app, click the "Add to Theme" button on your dashboard. This opens the Shopify theme editor with the SmartOptions block ready to go — just click Save.

Create Your First Option Set

Go to Option Sets → Create in the app. Choose a name, pick which products it applies to, and add your options (text, dropdown, swatches, file upload, etc.).

You're Live!

Visit any product page that matches your targeting rules. Your custom options are now showing — no code required.

⚠️ Button not working? You can add the block manually:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes
2. Click Customize on your active theme
3. Switch the template to Products → Default product (top-center dropdown)
4. In the left sidebar, find the Product information section
5. Click Add block, then open the Apps tab
6. Select SmartOptions from the list
7. Drag the block where you want it to appear, then click Save
